New Row Farm Nurseries nestles in a secluded hollow of the Eastern Pennines, at the lower end of Weardale in Co. Durham. At an altitude of about 600ft above sea level, you could be excused for thinking the environment harsh, especially as far as growing plants is concerned. However, the picturesque dales and villages surrounding us, now designated areas of natural beauty, far outweigh the rigours of the north east's climate. Established in 1981 on a green field site, the nursery has developed over the last 25years into a size that has put it on the map as one of the larger producers of nursery stock in the north of England. Currently occupying somewhere near 20 acres of land and producing in excess of ½ million plants annually, ensures that our customers needs are well catered for. Geographically the nursery is well located and suited to serving the needs of the North of England and Scotland. However our ever-expanding customer base means that our plants are travelling further and further afield A large proportion of our stock is grown outside. This coupled with our altitude and the robust north east climate,means that the plants at New Row Farm Nurseries will quite literally grow almost anywhere throughout the UK. Established as a family business, the nursery continues to be run in that vein. We have always maintained close relationships with our customers and feel that through feed back from them, we are able to adapt and change our products to meet the needs of the industry. Additions to our portfolio of our 'on line' catalogue is an example of how we are making New Row Farm Nurseries more user friendly and a very easy place from which to buy plants. we hope you enjoy using the site!
